It was only meant to last the summer . . .

Talia Stolfi has seen more than her share of loss in her twenty-one years. But then fate brought her Bran Lockhart, and her dark world was suddenly and spectacularly illuminated. So if being with Bran means leaving her colorless NorCal life for rugged and wild Australia, then that’s what she’ll do. But as much as Talia longs to give herself over completely to a new beginning, the fears of her past are still lurking in the shadows.

Bran Lockhart knows that living without the beautiful girl who stole his heart will be torment, so he’ll take whatever time with her he can. But even though she has packed up her life in California and is back in his arms for the time being, she can’t stay forever. And the remaining time they have together is ticking by way too fast. Though fate seems determined to tear them apart, they won’t give up without a fight-because while time may have limits, their love is infinite . . .

IMG_1234I’d like to thank the publishers for an arc in return for an honest review.

This is the second instalment in the Off the Map series however, I haven’t read Upside Down, the first in the series, but I quickly got into the characters and found that the book could be read as a standalone novel until I got to the cliff hanger at the end! I am now desperate for Inside Out the third instalment.

Lia Riley is a relatively new author but her style of writing is very descriptive and very addictive. This story is about the unexpected bolt of love and lust that hit Talia and Bran when they first met whilst Talia spent a short time overseas in Australia for her college work. The second instalment of this series follows Talia as she leaves home in the States and moves to Australia for 4 months to be with Bran and to finalise her college work. Both Talia and Bran have suffered emotionally in the past and are trying to move on and are desperate not to make any mistakes. Talia suffers with OCD and Bran ‘gets her’ he knows and understands the signs. With the date of Talia’s visa coming to an end Bran comes up with a solution to keep them together. Can their love and desire for each other be enough to hold them together. The young couple have so much growing up to do both mentally, physically and emotionally.

This was such an addictive, sexy read. The angst they shared was beautiful and heartbreaking. I loved it. I’m desperate to read more from this series.
