Harper Woods wakes up every morning on Silver Hill Farm feeling like the luckiest woman in the world. She’s engaged to the tall, dark dreamy Shay and just downstairs are the gorgeous tea rooms she’s always dreamed of owning.
But Harper is about to discover something that will change her luck forever. For better or worse? She has no idea. Not until an expert can identify whether the stunning collection of jewellery she found hidden in the farm’s foundations is priceless, or more trouble than it’s worth…
As news of the discovery spreads through the Silver Hill, it seems everyone has a secret history making them the rightful owner. In particular, Will Frampton, stubborn and irritatingly handsome Lord of Silver Hill House, the crumbling stately home the other side of the hill. Too busy trying to untangle the truth, Harper doesn’t notice Shay getting rather close to his ex from the village.
Harper thought she had everything she ever wanted. If she solves the mystery of her sparkling prize, can she hold onto her dream, or will she lose it all, and be left broken-hearted?

I am so pleased to be involved in the blogtour celebrating and promoting the launch of Tilly Tennant’s latest novel: The Summer of Secrets.
I adored this wonderful heart-warming story that captured my soul and left me glued to my ereader and I didn’t want the story to end. Alas, I’m now bereft and missing my dose of feel-good from Harper and her friends at Silver Hill Farm.
I’ve always loved the idea of living on a farm and also having my own tearoom so this new novel by Tilly Tennant was a must read for me. Harper Woods, the main character, has now been established at her little oasis of calm amongst the natural beautiful landscape in and around Silver Hill Farm with it’s small animal petting zoo and tearoom for a year now. After escaping an unpleasant relationship back in Weymouth Harper and her best friend Pip moved to Cerne Hay to start anew and now feel accepted in the village. This new venture has given Harper back her confidence and she is starting to enjoy life again.
Unearthing an embossed box in the grounds of the farm which looks to hold some antique jewellery Harper’s life is about to get a lot more interesting and bringing her unwanted attention from the press and treasure hunters. With the help of a historian working at the local museum a quest is started to find the original owners of the find. Finding proof of the original owners is proving to be more difficult than first expected. I loved this side of the story investigated the past of long lost treasure, it was fascinating and made a great diversion in the storyline. Will the chance of fortune alter the course of Harper’s future?
As so often in village life any relationship entanglements are scrutinised and gossiped about and indiscretions in the past often find a way of being misinterpreted. Will these secrets from the past stay hidden?
A gorgeous story with a wonderful feel-good warmth emanating from the storyline. After our recent late onslaught of winter weather The Summer of Secrets has been a vital boost to the soul, thank you Tilly Tennant for bringing some much needed sunshine.
