A sensible schoolmistress…
Awakened by the notorious rake!
In this The Wild Warriners story, schoolmistress Felicity Blunt feels old beyond her years―and desperately dull. Meeting confirmed rake Jacob Warriner brings her gloriously alive, and yet no matter his allure she must remain immune to his obvious charms and unashamed flirtation. But is Jacob merely a mischievous scoundrel? Or is there much more to this Warriner than meets the eye…?
I am so pleased to be involved in this one day blitz promoting the latest instalment in the Wild Warriners series by Virginia Heath. A Warriner to Seduce Her is book four in the Wild Warriners series and I seriously recommend reading all the books in the series in order as the Warriner brothers are gloriously lovable and make very addictive reading. The books in the series in order are:
- A Warriner to Protect Her
- A Warriner to Rescue Her
- A Warriner to Tempt Her
- A Warriner to Seduce Her
Once again Virginia Heath has created a wonderful hero and heroine in the fourth and final instalment of the Wild Warriners. I’m sad to have reached the end of this gorgeous and addictive series which has taken me to the early 1800’s, to rural middle England and to four brothers who are trying to rebuild the family’s bad reputation.
As I’ve read and appreciated each brother and learned to love the family more and more with each story I think I’ve found my favourite brother but I think the baby of the family, Jacob Warriner, may have pipped all the other brother’s to the top spot!
I loved the back story behind this regency romance. Felicity Blunt is attending her first society event, a few years later than most debutantes as she has been happily teaching at a school up north until her Uncle decided it was time she was seen out in London. Felicity is a very strong-willed young lady and is determined to ignore the charms of all the suitors milling around the city and is counting the days till she can be back at her lovely teaching post. When she meets Jacob Warriner, a gorgeous rogue of a rake, she thinks she can work out his intentions but Jacob is nothing but persistent when it comes to the ladies and Felicity Blunt is far more interesting than any of the other ladies he’s met in the past.
Jacob Warriner has a recognised reputation as one of the best rakes in town and ladies can be seen swooning over him but there is more to Jacob than meets the eye. As we learn more about him there is a lot more depth to his character and Virginia Heath has treated us to some wonderful secrets in Jacob’s life.
This story had it all … a gorgeous rogue of a rake, lots of drama, danger, intrigue, family spirit and a romance that is very difficult to resist. Long live the Warriner’s.
