All he knows is that something needs to change if he ever wants to get his life back on track.
Along with friends Cleo and Darcy, Holly is determined to bring joy back to Mitch’s life, but will he appreciate their interference? And when a business proposition throws everything up in the air, will it do more harm than good and ruin lives forever?
Both Holly and Mitch must learn that on the surface people aren’t always what they seem…but if you dig a little deeper, they can take you by surprise.

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. All opinions are my own and no content may be copied. However, authors and publishers may use elements of my reviews for quotes.

I am so pleased to be involved in the blogtour celebrating and promoting the launch of Helen J Rolfe’s latest novel:  Christmas Miracles at the Little Log Cabin.

Christmas Miracles at the Little Log Cabin is book 4 in the New York Ever After series.  However, this is my first introduction to the works of Helen J Rolfe so I read this novel with fresh open eyes.  The book is very easily read as a standalone story however, I completely fell in love with the author’s writing so I’m now very keen to catch up with her back catalogue of stories.  Helen J Rolfe has created a gorgeous setting for this novel; a small town just a short train journey away from the hustle bustle and bright lights of Manhattan.  Inglenook Falls sounded so idyllic with it’s country setting, the small community with it’s independent shops and cafes.  As soon as I read about the little log cabin in the woods filled with Christmas trees I felt all kinds of cosy feels and could picture the scene in my head.  Not only was I overawed with the location I was also taken by the characters especially a grumpy, unkempt man who lived like a recluse in the log cabin.

Holly has just finished working her stressful position in the city which demanded many hours from her.  She’s decided to go freelancing with her editorial and photographical work and is looking forward to this fresh new start.  One of her first assignments is to cover the opening of a new hotel in Inglenook Falls.  With a bit of free time to herself Holly decides to wander around Inglenook Falls and literally stumbles across the log cabin in the woods.

Mitch Baldwin has been hiding away in the cabin a good few years, his life has been in turmoil and he’s struggled emotionally with what life has thrown at him.  Now he has a stranger on his land he has to face his fears and make a social interaction.  This unexpected meeting between Holly and Mitch opens up new possibilities and insights for the pair of them.  Life from hereon for Mitch will bring a light to a dark tunnel he’s found himself in.

This story was just so gorgeous I found myself charmed by it all.  My emotions got the better of me a time or two as I was so wrapped up in the character’s lives.  I was sad for the story to end and now want to read the book all over again to relive all the cosy festive feels.  Christmas Miracles at the Little Log Cabin was just perfect and it’s left me wanting more from Helen J Rolfe.

A picture perfect winter warmer of a read!
