Rowan Forrester has it all – the happy marriage, the adorable dog, the good friends, the promising business and even the dream home after she and her husband Tom win a stunning but slightly dilapidated Georgian townhouse in London at auction.
But in the blink of an eye, Rowan’s picture-perfect life comes crashing down around her and she is faced with the prospect of having to start again.
To make ends meet she begins a search for housemates, and in doing so opens the door to new friends and new beginnings. But could she be opening the door to new heartbreak too?

I am so pleased to be involved in the blogtour celebrating and promoting Angela Barton’s latest novel: Magnolia House.
This was my first introduction to the works of Angela Barton and I really enjoyed it, Angela Barton places you into the hearts of the character’s lives making you feel very welcomed and involved.
Magnolia House is an emotive journey for our characters in Magnolia House, especially our leading lady, Rowan Forrester.
Rowan and Tom Forrester were so excited with their new project renovating an old Georgian house in London. The move from the north west of England to the capital city was full of excitement and anticipation with a view of their professional and personal lives set to thrive in London. The house near Clapham Common sounded lovely and after four long months of work the couple were set to move in.
However, life was set to take a drastic turn for Rowan and her dreams were shattered. Rowan was now faced with an emotional struggle of piecing her life back together again in a city she felt lost in.
The new pieces of Rowan’s life brought her opportune chances meeting people that were to make her life a little more bearable and they also brought much needed hope and light for the future.
Magnolia House is a story that takes you on an emotional rollercoaster with Rowan. It was dramatic, enlightening, inspiring, hopeful and had a wonderful underlying feeling of warmth. Angela Barton’s beautiful descriptions of the renovations of the house make you want to find your own Georgian property to make your home. Magnolia House was a home that became broken but brick by brick it slowly felt the warmth from the glow of light and hope emanating from the windows and from new friendships and new beginnings.
