All roads lead home…

Surrounded by the memories of what they once shared Holly’s anger fades in the glow of Rich’s undeniable love for their son and the way he selflessly steps in to help the vineyard out of trouble. As Holly watches Rich flourish in his new role as father to baby Luke, she realises that though they can’t change the past, the future is still theirs to write…

The House at Greenacres Blog Tour Banner (2)

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. All opinions are my own and no content may be copied. However, authors and publishers may use elements of my reviews for quotes

I am so pleased to be involved in the blogtour celebrating and promoting the launch of Darcie Boleyn’s latest novel: The House at Greenacres.

I always look forward to a new book from Darcie Boleyn as she is one of my favourite authors of feelgood fiction.  This was such a treat of a read and was the perfect story to cosy up with over a weekend … and I did just that!

I instantly fell in love with this stunning location of a hilltop vineyard with coastal and country views in Cornwall.  The whole ethos of the storyline was lovely with a family run business surviving through the generations and with the hope and love and vibrancy of a new generation bringing much life into the company.

Although there was much warmth within the pages there was an underlying sadness of reality that had been inflicted on our characters.  Darcie Boleyn dealt with these sad, tragic and painful times with sensitivity and a true sense of empathy.  I could feel the pain but I could also sense a glimmer of hope in their hearts.

Holly Dryden left her home at the vineyard a year ago after her heart had been broken.  Now returning with more sadness in her heart for the funeral of her dear Grandpa.  However, she’s not alone and she isn’t sure how her welcoming reception in the arms of her family, friends and villagers will take to the arrival of herself and her 3 month old son.

This was a beautiful and charming story and I’m so pleased to learn it is the start of what looks to be a gorgeous new series centred around Penhallow Sands.

About the Author

Darcie BoleynDarcie Boleyn has a huge heart and is a real softy. She never fails to cry at books and movies, whether the ending is happy or not. Darcie is in possession of an overactive imagination that often keeps her awake at night. Her childhood dream was to become a Jedi but she hasn’t yet found suitable transport to take her to a galaxy far, far away. She also has reservations about how she’d look in a gold bikini, as she rather enjoys red wine, cheese and loves anything with ginger or cherries in it – especially chocolate. Darcie fell in love in New York, got married in the snow, rescues uncoordinated greyhounds and can usually be found reading or typing away on her laptop.
