Book Blurb
1960’s Somerset is no fun for cousins Polly and Annabelle Williams. Mourning their non-existent love lives, and the mundanity of village life, their only pleasure is baking – until a chance encounter has them magically transported to the bright lights of London… in 2019!
Promised a chance of love, first they must teach the people of the future about the simpler pleasures of life by becoming Cake Fairies. Over the course of a year they set off on a delectable tour of the UK, dropping off cakes in the most unexpected of places and replacing the lure of technology with much sweeter temptations.
But will their philanthropical endeavours lead them to everlasting love? Or will they discover you can’t have your cake and eat it?

I am so pleased to be involved in the blogtour celebrating and promoting the launch of Isabella May’s latest novel: The Cake Fairies.

It’s 1969 and cousins Polly and Annabelle are best friends as well as partners in the bakery, living and working in a small village near Glastonbury.  The girls are approaching 30 and even though they’ve reached a level of success in their professional lives their love life is pretty non-existent.

It’s the annual fair in the village and the girls are attracted to a tent to which reveals a woman who appears to know an awful lot about them.  The lady in question offers them a challenge of sorts in return to helping them find love.  Polly and Annabelle find themselves time travelling 50 decades to the year 2019.  They are equipped with an instruction manual to help the people of today re-ignite their love of the simple pleasures in life before new technology brain washed us all.

The girls have the skills and creativity to bring forth the lure of the sweet delights of cake to tempt people to sit back and savour the moment and look around them.  Polly and Annabelle are granted a year to fulfil their mission and the Cake Fairies are born.  Along this journey that they are taking new friends, acquaintances and accomplishes are made.  But will 2019 bring them love and romance?

The Cake Fairies is such a fun, entertaining read viewing the advancements of the world through the eyes of our leading ladies.  When one embraces the change the other goes slightly off track.  Reading about their culinary sweet creations was enough to make your mouth water and their task was quite thought provoking and inspiring.

Fun, entertaining with a yummie romance!

Author Bio
cake fairies author picIsabella May lives in (mostly) sunny Andalusia, Spain with her husband, daughter and son, creatively inspired by the mountains and the sea. Having grown up on Glastonbury’s ley lines however, she’s unable to completely shake off her spiritual inner child, and is a Law of Attraction fanatic.
Cake, cocktail, churros, ice cream and travel obsessed, she also loves nothing more than to (quietly) break life’s rules.
The Cake Fairies is her fifth novel.
