I am so pleased to be involved in the blogtour celebrating and promoting the launch of Liz Fielding’s latest novel: Christmas Reunion in Paris. I can’t quite believe this is the first book by Liz Fielding that I’ve read, looking at her back catalogue she has been bringing romance to her avid readers for years. I fell in love with this book; it’s a modern day romance within the ranks of high society that oozes with sexual tension.

Chloe and James were besotted with each other as teenagers but sadly life was to give them a cruel twist in their blossoming courtship and they were pulled apart. Ten years on and a chance encounter brings the pair back together again however, they are no longer young, crazy in love teenagers they are adults that have lived through many emotional hardships.

Chloe and James are both from privileged families but Chloe escaped this lifestyle to try and gain ownership of her life, a life that she has never had control over. Chloe lives in a small flat in Paris with few luxuries and is working 3 jobs to keep afloat. Since Chloe and James parted James has managed to fulfil his dream of becoming a professional chef however, he’s felt something was missing from his life and when he meets Chloe again he realises that she is the key to his happiness.

This first encounter again after ten years is fuelled by pent up emotions and desires run away with them. James believes he has found his happy ever after and starts rushing ahead planning for the future. Sadly, Chloe suffered greatly from the hands of her controlling father and she needs to learn to rise above this confinement her father has held on her. For Chloe to move forward she has to look back and face her fears.

A story of lost loves rediscovering each other filled with culinary delights, culture and festive fun. Christmas Reunion in Paris is romantic, sexy and is a glorious escapism read. I can’t wait to read more stories set in the exclusive Harrington Park Hotel.
