I am so pleased to be involved in the blogtour celebrating and promoting the launch of Suzie Tullett’s latest romcom: Six Steps to Happiness.  This is the first book I’ve read by Suzie Tullett and it was marvellous!

Six Steps to Happiness is a fabulously fun read that is filled with hope and inspiration for new beginnings.

Ronnie is completely heartbroken with the break-up of her marriage and finds the whole affair even more despicable as her husband has moved in next door with her/their neighbour!  Ronnie is hellbent on causing as much havoc as possible to the lovebirds and her ideas to try and oust her neighbour are crazy and a little bonkers and lead to some hilarious consequences.  But when her antics start effecting her wellbeing Ronnie’s daughter and mother-in-law intervene and produce a six step plan to get Ronnie’s life back on track.

Ronnie doesn’t take too kindly to this intervention but for the sake of keeping her loved ones happy she complies in a manner ways.  The plan takes her out of her comfort zone and makes her realise there is more to life than revenge.

Suzie Tullett has written such a fun, entertaining romcom that is very readable.  I was championing Ronnie even on her craziest days and I wanted her to succeed.  The whole ethos of the story was uplifting, fun and heart-warming.  I’ve found a new romcom author to add to my favourite’s list.

What would you do if your late husband left you a list of instructions on how to fall in love with someone else?

Pippa Browning is faced with this exact dilemma, three years after the death of her husband, Dan.

Buried at the bottom of a drawer are a collection of notebooks full of Dan’s advice on how to live without him.

Pippa’s notebook is red and contains his instructions on how to fall in love again.

But Dan doesn’t just want Pippa to fall in love with anyone – Dan’s crazy suggestion is that Pippa should date his handsome friend, Mikey Stenton, a known thrill-seeking ladies’ man.

Reluctant to follow Dan’s advice, Pippa enters the world of dating. She embarks on a humorous journey of self-discovery, with the help of her children and two best friends.

It isn’t long before Pippa is finding it hard to ignore Dan’s instructions and Mikey Stenton.

Is Mikey really the man that everyone thinks him to be? Or was Dan right, and Mikey’s simply been misunderstood?

A heart-warming romantic comedy about motherhood, friendship and finding love, the second time around.

I am so pleased to be involved in the blogtour celebrating and promoting the launch of Lucy Mitchell’s debut novel:  Instructions For Falling In Love Again.

I absolutely and utterly adored this debut novel by Lucy Mitchell.  It was such an accomplished read that ticked all the boxes for a heartfelt romcom that I am excited for the future for Lucy Mitchell’s writing career.

Instructions For Falling In Love Again is such a bitter sweet love story as Pippa Browning had to endure the worst of heartbreaks and begin a healing process with the added strength and guidance from the words by her late husband Dan.  Dan sadly passed away three years ago and he loved his wife and family so much he gave them all little notebooks with instructions on how to cope with life without him.  It’s been three years since Pippa and her three children received their respective notebooks and life for the four of them without Dan has continued in a fashion but Pippa feels a strength within her now to read and acknowledge the words that Dan left her.

Mikey Stenton is a lovable rogue who is known for countless shenanigans with the opposite sex.  He’s a fun loving guy and jack the lad but when life throws a crushing blow to him he feels it’s time to step up and take responsibility of his life.  Can Mikey prove to others there’s more to his character than what social media portrays?

I adored Pippa and her family they were all different in personality and provided much chaos to the humdrum of the Browning household.  My heart ached for the tragedy of life they’ve endured and the underlying ethos of this storyline was so heart-warming and filled with hope.  The author, Lucy Mitchell, has packed this heartfelt story with so much warmth with scenes that make you chuckle that bring lightness to a story that has experienced so much sadness.  I honestly didn’t want this story to end and could continue reading about the journeys that Pippa and Mikey take alongside their family and friends who had great stories to tell.  I’m looking forward to what lies next for Lucy Mitchell, an author to watch.
