I am so pleased to be involved in the blogtour celebrating and promoting the launch of the final instalment in The Paradise Cookery school series:  Mistletoe & Mystery.

Ohh what a fabulous finale to a delicious, feast for the eyes feel-good series by Daisy James.  The Paradise Cookery School has not only been a delightful read but it’s also been my first introduction to the work of Daisy James.  I’ve completely fallen in love with her writing; who wouldn’t, as she fills her stories with warmth, laughter and heart.

Mistletoe & Mystery has taken us back to the celebrated chef’s home in the Cotswolds.  Millie has been invited to co-host with chef Claudia Croft in a Festive Feast cookery course at Stonelea Manor.  Not only will it give Millie an opportunity to work with Claudia but Millie will get to see Zach again.  Zach the handsome Estate Manager she met in the Caribbean who infuriated her at first but also brought Millie out of a gloom that had set in her personal life.  Millie and Zach’s friendship had bloomed in the sun but now back in the UK Millie is hoping their friendship could have more potential.

I adored the sound of Stonelea Manor and the villagers and how they all shared a common goal of helping each other.  Claudia’s husband, Tim, was a fabulous, quirky character and you couldn’t help loving his creativity and his energy.  With Millie soon feeling welcomed at the Manor and the village she started to sense mystery and trepidation from Claudia and concern soon mounted.

Daisy James has created such a delicious, delightful trio of stories that you’ll fall in love with each and every character.  I wholeheartedly recommend reading the books in order, which are:

  • Sunshine & Secrets
  • Confetti & Confusion
  • Mistletoe & Mystery

I’m a little sad that the series has come to the end but I feel like it’s a bright new beginning for our much loved characters.

A series to warm your heart with sunshine, laughter, fun and frolics, festive feasts and winter sparkles with a gorgeous budding romance.

CONFETTI & CONFUSION BLOG TOUR BANNER (1)

I am so pleased to be involved in the blogtour celebrating and promoting the launch of book two in The Paradise Cookery School series; Confetti & Confusion.

Sometimes in life you want to curl up with a book that takes you on a gorgeous sun-filled journey filled with warmth, heart and charm.  This is were Daisy James new mini series fits in perfectly as she whisks you away to a tropical paradise in St Lucia were the enticing aromas of the local produce and cuisine is almost as intoxicating as the stunning vistas around the island.

I adored book one, Sunshine & Secrets, you can find my review here.  Confetti & Confusion takes us back to St Lucia and to Millie who’s temporarily working for celeb Chef Claudia at her Paradise Cooking School.  This story starts us off at the beginning of a hen week filled with culinary cocoa inspired delights for the bride-to-be and her entourage.  However, there’s a mystery surrounding the wedding planner and when carefully planned details are at risk Millie and her new friends come to the rescue for the wedding party of the year on the island.

Amongst the mishaps and mayhem leading up to the wedding Millie’s friendship with Zach is blooming but also her date for leaving the island and going back home to London is getting more imminent.  Will Millie open her heart to a tropical romance?

Another gorgeous romantic instalment from Daisy James that brings a smile to your face and a beat to your heart.  I was disappointed to reach the end as I want to know what lies ahead for Millie and for Zach.  It looks like I don’t have to wait too long as a third instalment of The Paradise Cookery School is due out in September, yay!

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of  this book.  All opinions are my own and no content may be copied.  However, authors and publishers may use elements of my reviews for quotes.

I am so pleased to be involved in the blogtour celebrating and promoting the launch of Daisy James latest novel: Sunshine & Secrets.  Sunshine & Secrets is book one in a new three part book series by Daisy James.  This is my first introduction to the work of Daisy James; I need more time to read as there are so many lovely new authors I’ve yet to discover.  I’m so pleased I’ve now found Daisy James novels, I do love a good romantic comedy especially if it’s set in such lush locations.  I now feel like I’ve escaped the cold of the UK and have escaped to the beauty of St Lucia.  Daisy James made me feel welcome in this sublime sunny location with it’s stunning vista, aromatic fauna, vegetation and spices.  The laid back lifestyle sounded quite idyllic.

Heartbroken Millie Harper felt like this job opportunity to oversee the setting up of The Paradise Cookery School in St Lucia was just the tonic she needed to help her reassess her life.  As a Michelin-starred chef she was well equipped with knowledge of professional kitchens and was keen to learn more about Caribbean cuisine and also of the cocoa plantation which surrounded the villa she was to work at.  Millie had a two week timescale to adhere to but as in all building projects the journey to perfection is met with stumbles along the way.

This was such a delightful read.  I loved Millie’s character she’d started to rebuild her life following heartache and her love of food was certainly giving her the much needed boost she needed. The locals from in and around the villa in St Lucia were a varied bunch in personalities but you could feel the love for the glorious natural beauty of the area, the laid-back lifestyle but also the community spirit in helping each other succeed in life and love.  However, the sunshine and happy music of St Lucia hid some dark secrets.  This was a wonderful start to a great new feel-good series however, you’ll find it hard to read without salivating over the delicious descriptions of the foodie delights Millie and her friends make.
