Eva is quite content with her life in London. In her job as a cover designer, she works at home, and often in her cosy pyjamas. She’s happy to stay in her safe little world and not explore much outside of it.
She is the opposite of her mum, a free spirit who craved finding adventure and thrills in all corners of the world. But on the day her mum’s will is finalised, Eva finds a list of all the dreams her mum wanted to achieve in her life. Things she never did because she fell pregnant with Eva.
Eva decides these dreams will not go unfulfilled – she is going to be brave and complete them for her mum. As Eva has no experience travelling the world, she hires a guide to go with her on this holiday.
Gorgeous but rude Thor Anderson is not the person she would choose to accompany her on this journey, but somehow she gets stuck with him. As they discover the world together Eva starts to think he might not be as bad as she first thought. She is swept away by Thor’s kindness and mischievous sense of humour. But will it be a simple holiday romance or could this wonderful adventure lead to so much more?

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book. All opinions are my own and no content may be copied. However, authors and publishers may use elements of my reviews for quotes.

I am so pleased to be involved in the blogtour celebrating and promoting Holly Martin’s latest novel: The Summer of Chasing Dreams.

Holly Martin has written a fabulously feel-good story with The Summer of Chasing Dreams. The author gave me a passport to happiness and I felt it ticked all the boxes on every page.

The author must have undertaken extensive research with this novel as each description of the sights, sounds, aromas of the destinations felt very real. Holly Martin placed me amidst the tourists and I lapped up everything that Eva saw for the first time and I chuckled over the little ‘rookie mistakes’ that only a true tourist could make!

Eva’s story is one of fulfilling her late mother’s forgotten dreams but also one of making new memories for herself. Not everything goes to plan and Eva’s itinerary has a last minute change but she finds a way to make the mishaps and alterations work and she opens her eyes, heart and soul to experience life in all it’s technicolour glory.

Gorgeous and uplifting and I truly did not want this story to end. This book is a passport to make you feel good.

Wonderfully adorable, full of fun and Danish delights!  The perfect pick-you-up read!

I’d like to thank the publishers and netgalley for an arc in return for an honest review.

I was first drawn to this novel by the gorgeous cover, who wouldn’t love to live in a quaint purple cottage surrounded by snow and all cosy and warm inside with good company and good food?  The cover is idyllic and expresses a book filled with words to warm your heart … and this is quite literally what you got.

This was such a sweet, sexy, funny story set at Christmas time.  I really enjoyed it, another hit on her hands for Holly Martin.  Holly has a great formula for making you laugh, making your heart ache, creating brilliant characters with sex appeal, warm hearted characters and characters you love to hate.  Her stories always flow well which leaves you zipping through the chapters and wanting more when you get to the end of the story.

I really enjoyed the location on this story, Lilac Cottage sounded so quaint and the town of White Cliff bay and its surrounding was depicted as a lovely idyllic town filled with character and charm.  I loved Penny’s occupation, how cool 😉 to be an ice sculptor, such an unusual occupation.  I also loved how Henry’s occupation of a wood craftsmen fitted so well with Penny’s, a sort of yin yang, they blended so well together.

I fell for Henry’s character almost instantly with his brooding good looks but when we got to find out who Daisy was and how his life has been lived for the last 16 years I fell in love with his even more.

I’m looking forward to more books set in White Cliff Bay and hope Penny, Henry and Daisy will pop up again in future books.

A very funny, heartwarming, romantic winter warmer of a read 5/5*

I’d like to thank the publishers, author and netgalley for an arc in return for an honest review.

Can you remember the emotions you felt while watching a Disney movie?  The heartwarming friendships, the despicable villain, the funny adventures, the wonderful ‘aww’ moment at the end.  Holly Martin has managed to replicate these feelings and more in this delightful romance, Fairytale Beginnings.

Milly works for Castle Heritage as a historian visiting rundown historical properties whose owners are looking for financial assistance to help maintain their properties.  Milly isn’t your typical historial, firstly she has pink tipped blonde hair, loves dresses and sparkly converse shoes (which I think I need!).  She brings a touch of sparkle and vitality to the company.  She is given the task to visit the new owner of Clover Castle.  Her first impressions of the beautiful turreted castle make her gasp at its Disney-esque beauty.  However, the sight of the new owner, Cameron Heartstone, a sexy rugged mysterious man bring out other emotions in Milly.  A mutual sexual sparkle between Milly and Cameron is evident pretty soon from their first meeting however, they are both reluctant to pursue a relationship due to heartbreak in the past.

I loved the description of this unique castle and it’s history; it had some very colourful and charismatic previous owners.  Milly and Cameron have some fun delving into Clover Castle’s heritage.  However, someone from the past and present causes chaos for the pair.

This was a delightful story that had some wonderful magical qualities to it, I love abit of make believe … but is it really make believe?!  At the end of the novel I felt myself ‘sighing’ with adoration at this charming, magical, sexy story.  5/5*
